Special Session 5
Digital Innovation and Transformation (DIT)
Digital innovation and transformation are evolving beyond technology adoption toward
adaptive, intelligent, and human-centered ecosystems. This special session aims to
bring together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to explore cutting-edge
research and practical implementations of digital transformation in the era of artificial
intelligence and data-driven systems.
The session builds upon the experience of the Digital Innovation and Transformation Conference (DITCON), a well-established academic conference in Thailand that promotes interdisciplinary collaboration between academia and industry, demonstrating how digital technologies reshape sectors such as healthcare, education, tourism, and smart cities.

-
In addition, this session integrates insights from internationally funded research initiatives under the European research ecosystem, particularly:
- ACMod (Adaptive Capability Maturity Model for Digital Transformation) — a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) project (Grant Agreement No. 101130271) focusing on advanced computational models and intelligent systems for understanding and improving human-centric digital capabilities
- HarmonicAI — an MSCA-funded project under the Horizon Europe programme (Grant Agreement No. 101131117), which develops a human–machine collaborative framework for explainable, fair, and privacy-preserving AI, particularly in digital health domains
Topics of Interest
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
01Digital transformation strategies and adaptive capability models (e.g., ACMod)
02Trustworthy AI: explainability, fairness, and privacy-preserving AI (e.g., HarmonicAI)
03Smart cities and digital governance
04Digital health and AI-enabled healthcare systems
05Educational technology and digital learning transformation
06Tourism technology and digital experience innovation
07Human-centered design and socio-technical systems
08Organizational change and digital leadership
Relevance to CAMP 2026
This special session aligns strongly with the interdisciplinary scope of CAMP 2026 by addressing emerging technologies
and their integration into real-world systems. The session contributes to the conference in three distinctive ways:
- Thematic Integration - It connects digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and innovation management into a unified research direction.
- International Research Foundation - It incorporates EU-funded projects under the Horizon Europe MSCA programme, demonstrating global relevance and research excellence.
- Emerging Paradigm - It introduces the concept of adaptive and trustworthy digital transformation, moving beyond traditional models toward AI-driven, human-centered ecosystems.
