CALL FOR TUTORIAL WORKSHOP PROPOSAL
The Society of Information Retrieval and Knowledge Management Malaysia (PECAMP) established in 2006 is the national professional body advancing Information Retrieval (IR) and Knowledge Management (KM) through research, training, and industry collaboration. Its members comprise academicians and practitioners dedicated to strengthening intelligent information ecosystems locally and globally.
CAMP 2026, the Seventh International Conference on Information Retrieval and Knowledge Management https://camp2026.pecamp.org/ will be held on 12–13 August 2026 in Putrajaya, Malaysia. CAMP brings together researchers, industry practitioners, developers, and policymakers to explore cutting-edge research and applications in:
- Information Retrieval (IR) & Knowledge Management (KM)
- Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI for search & discovery
- Intelligent agents and human-centered AI
- Big data, semantic technologies, and AI-driven decision support
CAMP 2026 serves as a premier platform for research dissemination, technology showcase, and cross-sector collaboration, bridging academia and industry.
We invite high-quality tutorial workshop proposals that provide in-depth technical insights, hands-on training that cultivates AI literacy, AI fluency, and AI development capability to enable participants to attain a minimum of 1 of the following outcomes:
- Use generative AI tools effectively and critically for search, synthesis, and automation.
- Understand the principles, capabilities, limitations, and evaluation of LLMs, RAG, intelligent agents, and semantic retrieval systems.
- Design GenAI workflows and system architectures, including retrieval pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, and orchestration layers.
- Develop and prototype generative AI–based applications beyond prompt usage.
- Evaluate, refine, and deploy AI-driven solutions in research and industry contexts.
Workshop Format
Workshop may be:
- Half-day
- Hands-on technical deep dive sessions (>60%)
- Interactive panel and discussion-based sessions
- Tutorial-based training sessions
Proposers are encouraged to design sessions that promote participant engagement rather than lecture-style delivery.
